MASSAGE TECHNIQUES

Back2Business’s approach is a holistic one, looking at the whole body and any history of injury in order to determine the best course of treatment.

The main techniques we offer are:

Sports Massage

Sports massage speeds recovery, enhances performance and can help prevent injury. If not treated at an early stage a minor injury may lead to a more serious condition in the long term, i.e. the longer you have an injury, the longer it takes to recover. Massage can treat the majority of such minor problems quickly and effectively. Massage can also be applied specifically to help prevent injury. Massage is also extremely beneficial in treating conditions exacerbated by the work place, such as repetitive injuries as a result of poor posture, and stress-related conditions.

The Bowen Technique

This technique is a remedial, hands-on therapy that is applied using very gentle pressure. The practitioner uses thumbs and fingers on precise points of the body to perform Bowen’s unique sets of rolling-type moves which stimulate the muscles and soft tissue of the body. Very subtle adjustments are made to rebalance the body with this powerful treatment. The experience is gentle and relaxing. It is believed that the Bowen Technique prompts the body to reset, repair and balance itself and clients report the experience of pain relief, improvement of function and recovery of energy.

Myofascial Release

Mayofascial release techniques focus on relaxing the deep tissue of the body, providing lasting and effective relief. The technique is applied directly on the body and uses slow and sometimes deep pressure to restore optimum health of the fascia.
